Conveyor chains have been widely used in all walks of life, but many people do not know enough about them, so they are not concerned about their lubrication and maintenance work, which will cause the wear of the conveyor chain. Below, Silent Chain Manufacturer introduces how to deal with the wear of the conveyor chain:

The pin bushing is the main part of the conveyor chain wear. Abrasion will increase the gap between the chains and lengthen the chain until the chain cannot accurately mesh with the sprocket, or the correct distance and timing cannot be maintained. In addition, sometimes wear occurs between the roller and the sleeve or between the chainplate and the guide plate, which can also cause the conveyor chain to fail.

The extension of the conveyor chain due to wear is a gradual process, roughly including three stages: the first stage is the initial running-in. The protruding parts on the pen shaft and the sleeve are worn away, and the small eccentric parts are also smoothed; the second stage is smooth and slow lubrication and wear. At this stage, the pin is properly placed in the sleeve, and the load-bearing area is also fully lubricated; the third stage is the faster end-of-life wear. Lubrication may be ineffective or fail, the hardened layer of the pin and sleeve surface is worn away, the conveyor chain is extended, etc., which eventually leads to a sharp increase in a load of a single node.
