The special transmission chains produced by Hangzhou Qianjiang Chain Industries Co., Ltd. for motorcycles and electric off-road motorcycles fully comply with the internationally accepted roller chain standards. The main product series include standard roller chains (415, 420, 428, 520, 525, 530) and oil seal ring (O/X-ring) sealed chains, such as 420V, 428V, 520V, 525V, 530V. In order to facilitate selection, the supporting specifications of commonly used vehicle models are now organized according to displacement and vehicle type as follows:
1. Quick check according to displacement specifications
Chain model; pitch (mm) / inner section width (mm) seal type, suitable displacement, model and original number of sections for reference
1. 415/415H 12.70 /4.88 without/O-ring ≤70cc lightweight curved beam, 50cc commuter car 104–112L
2. 420HZ/420VM 12.70 /6.35 without/O-ring 70–125cc Honda Wave (NF) series, Suzuki Address125 series 108–116L
3. 428HZ/428VMG 12.70/ 7.75 O/X-ring 125–250cc Honda CB190, Yamaha YBR250 110–120L
4. 520V /520VMG 15.875/ 6.35 O/X-ring 250–400cc Honda CB400X/F, CBR400R 116L (CB400 series)
5. 525V/525VMG 15.875/7.94 O/X-ring 400–600cc Yamaha YZF-R6, Honda CBR650 118–124L
6. 530V/530VMG 15.875/9.40 O/X-ring 600cc Kawasaki Z900, BMW S1000RR 120–130L

2. Quick search by vehicle type

1. Small displacement commuter/two-stroke vehicle (≤125cc)
50–70cc: mainly 415H (no oil seal), some new models use 415 (O-ring), the number of sections is 104–112L.
100–125cc: 420HZ (thickened) or 420VM (O-ring). Honda Wave, Suzuki UY125 and other original manufacturers are mostly 420 series, with a section number of 108–116L.
2. Mid-displacement street car/retro (125–250cc)
The core specification is 428VM (X-ring), with higher tensile strength, suitable for Honda CB190 and Yamaha MT-25, and the number of sections is 110–120L.
Some parts of the Haojue Suzuki 250 series are originally made of 428VMG (silent riveted version), with a tensile strength of 30kN, close to the 520H level.
3. Medium and large displacement sports/touring (250cc)
250–400cc: 520V/525V O/X-ring is absolutely mainstream. Honda CB400X/F/CBR400R are originally unified to 520V/525V specifications, equipped with 15T front teeth, 43T rear teeth, and the number of sections is 116L.
400–600cc: 525VM/530VMG O/X-ring, standard equipment of Yamaha R6 and Honda CBR650 series, taking into account both strength and lightweight.
600cc 530VMG/630V O/X-ring, original specifications of Kawasaki Z900, BMW S1000RR and other high-torque models, section number 120–130L.

3. Key purchasing points

1. The iron rule of specification matching: the chain model must be exactly the same as the front and rear chainrings (for example, a 520 chain with a 520 sprocket). When changing the model, the sprockets must be replaced simultaneously.
2. Selection of sealing type: In rainy or muddy environments, it is recommended to use X-ring sealing chains, which have better wear resistance and mud-proof performance; HZ series oil-seal-free chains can be used in lightweight demand scenarios such as race tracks.
3. Confirm the number of sections: The number of sections can be found in the user manual or the old chain identification (such as "520-116L"). If the rear flat fork is modified to lengthen, it is usually necessary to add 2-4 sections.
4. Joint type: riveted joints (strength 100%) are recommended for street cars/touring cars, which are safer than snap-on joints and are not easy to fall off when driving at high speeds.

4. Quick confirmation method of specifications
1. Check the logo: The outer chain plate of the old chain will have the model logo printed on it (such as 428H, 520X2).
2. Confirmation of the number of sections: Counting the total number of pins of the old chain is the number of chain sections (for example, 116 pins correspond to 116 sections).
2. Measure the dimensions: Use a caliper to measure the pitch (center distance between adjacent pins) and the inner width of the inner section, and compare it with the specification table to determine the model.
3. Check the manual: The vehicle owner's manual or original parts catalog will indicate the precise specifications (for example, the Honda CB400 series manual indicates "520X-ring, 116 sections")
Summary: The motorcycle chain specifications produced by Qianjiang Chain Transmission are in line with international standards. For small displacements, look at 415/420/428, and for medium and large displacements, look at 520/525/530. X-ring seals and riveted joints are preferred. Compare according to the displacement of the vehicle model to accurately match.
